In December 2020, we received the audit from SGS Colombia, who after validating compliance with compliance, of Resolution 0666 of April 24, 2020 of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, through which the protocol is adopted general biosafety policy to mitigate, control and carry out the proper management of the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic and Resolution 1285 of July 29, 2020, by means of which the biosafety protocol is adopted for the management and control of the risk of Coronavirus COVID-19 in accommodation services and activities, they certified us as a BIOSECUROUS ESTABLISHMENT and granted us the “Certified Check-in, COVID-19 bioseguro” seal, and granted the use of the “Safe Travels” seal, which was prepared, endorsed and launched by members of the World Travel & Tourism Council, with the help of the World Health Organization (WHO). Both seals seek to generate trust among travelers and consumers, minimize the risks of contagion of the COVID-19 virus and encourage tourism in our country.

This fills us with great pride and allows us to reinforce our premise of continuous improvement.

touristic quality stamp

The Touristic Quality and Sustainability Certification has been developed with the support from the Tourism Directorate (DITUR) of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Tourism, with the purpose of improving touristic services provision through the strengthening of quality and sustainability management in touristic companies and destinations. This is a strategy to generate a culture of excellence that allows positioning Colombia in the tourism market as a differentiated and competitive quality destination.

This standard has the objective of achieving a balance between environmental, socio-cultural and financial aspects in accommodations and lodging facilities (EAH, for its acronym in Spanish), and becoming differentiated, competitive and sustainable tourism. This means a change in business practices, in touristic destinations, and in tourists’ behavior in order to achieve long-lasting tourism, with equity, respect for natural, social and cultural aspects, that is successful and profitable.

The following are among the main aspects we can demonstrate by having this certification:

  1. We confirm that we are a sustainably responsible company environmentally, socio-culturally and financially.
  2. We offer quality services.

With the purpose of consolidating the production of environmentally sustainable goods and increase the offer of competitive ecological services in national and international markets based on life cycle, the Ministry of Environment, and Sustainable Development, in the framework of the National Green Markets Strategic Plan, created the Colombian Environmental Stamp (SAC, for its acronym in Spanish) and regulates its use under Resolution 1555 of 2005, issued jointly with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Tourism.

This standard seeks to promote the supply and demand of products and services that cause the least impact on the environment, through the communication of verifiable and exact information, non-misleading, on environmental aspects of said products and services, to encourage continuous environmental improvement.

The following are among the main aspects we can demonstrate by having this certification:

  1. We use natural resources sustainably.
  2. We use clean raw materials and technologies, not harmful to the environment.
  3. We use processes that involve les amounts of energy and water.
  4. We consider aspects of recycling, reuse and biodegradation.
  5. We use preferably recyclable, reusable or biodegradable packaging materials, and in minimum quantities.
  6. We achieve more efficient processes, les use of materials, energy and water, waste reduction, minimization of environmental impact from noise and atmospheric contamination, among others
